Big Bear added to it’s snow totals today with another 14 inches of powder accumulating on the Mountain. Big Bear Resorts (Bear Mountain and Snow Summit) have a base of 18 to 30 inches of machine groomed packed powder.

Yes, we have snow conditions in Big Bear CA! Well…atleast on the mountain.
Bear Mountain blew a foot of snow in the lower elevations and two feet of snow at the top. They managed an early opening this year.

There’s snow in Big Bear CA!
The temperature dipped down to 15 degrees last night and the Resorts took advantage of it. Alpine Slide, Bear Mountain and Snow summit all have a layer of snow. Today’s temperatures bearly reached freezing today. With luck there will be snowboarding on the weekend!

We love to camp and hike in the San Bernardino Mountains. The mountains are a transversal range reaching heights of 11,400 feet. Mount San Gorgonio is the highest peak. This video shows some deer we spotted!
