The Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest runs for seven consecutive weekends, September 19 through October 31 at the Big Bear Lake Convention Center, located at 42900 Big Bear Boulevard in Big Bear Lake. The times are Saturdays 12 noon to 12 midnight and Sundays 12 noon to 5:30 p.m. Ticket prices for Saturdays are $12 adults; $9 seniors (65+); $6 children (3-12). Team Big Bear Mountain Bike Series: Fall Classic

Team Big Bear’s Mountain Bike Series Fall Classic takes place on Sunday September 27th. Course follows the forest trails on the South shore of the Lake. Features a finish festival at La Montana’s with awards, live music and more.

Love Letters – An Encore Performance

The Friends of the Library present an encore performance of “Love Letters” featuring John Grandi and Elena Peavy on September 26th at 7:00 PM at the Big Bear Lake Branch Library. Team Blue Competition. 24 Hours of Big Bear. Andy rode the last lap of the race and brought home the win for the team. It was a crazy last lap, he went out with only a 2 minute 45 second lead, pulled away a little at first but had a mechanical problem. He got it fixed on the trail, ran down the leader and finished with a nine minute lead over second.

Snow Summit runs the scenic Sky Chair daily during the summer (Big Bear Lake CA). A round trip ticket costs $10 or, if you’re a mountain biker, one way is $7. There are forest trails at the top going in several directions.

The View House is at the top with plenty of sandwiches and beverages, plus facilities. You can picnic and enjoy the alpine mountain scenery. The are plenty of tables and spectacular views of Mount San Gorgonio and Sugarloaf Mountain.

The panoramic views of the Lake and the mountains are well worth the trip.
