Peter Pan Woodland Club
This is a copy of the rules and regulations of the Peter Pan Woodland Club from 1931. The Club was a world class resort built by Guy Maltby. Located in Big Bear City, remnants of the original stone fence can be seen around the Verizon Station between Rainbow and Sherwood Rd.

Big Bear
This picture should say it all. The weather is near 60 degrees. The skies are clear blue and the air is crisp. Eventhough it’s Spring, the Resorts still have a 36 inch base of snow. More information about Big Bear.

Big Bear Museum
The old post office and general store are going to move to the Big Bear Museum! A small cabin, located across from Juniper Point (Google Map), has been donated by Dr. Baumgartner. Volunteers are needed to assist with the move. You can contact Gloria Meade at 585-6541 or Jerry Hanna at 585-7643.

Big Bear Lake Tour
The four seasons of Big Bear are sharply defined. Springtime in the Valley brings a dramatic respite from winter’s snowy grip, as Big Bear Lake begins to swell from the melting runoff. The mountain and desert wildflowers break free and the birds who migrated to warmer climates for the winter, come home [...]

History -Bartlett’s CABINS and Camp
Here is another old photo of Bartlett’s camp. Since this is an image of the General Store, I’m wondering if the location is at the Chamber of Commerce Parking lot.
Here are two cabins, also part of Bartlett’s Camp. My guess is that these images date from around the 1920’s.

Stillwells
Stillwell’s on-the-Lake-Front was a well know club in early Big Bear. It supplied hotel rooms, cabins, boats and entertainment.
“No California excursion is complete without at least one stay at Stillwell’s-on-the-Lake-Front. This is the universal testimony of tourists. With sport as a first consideration for the vacation, no item has been overlooked. Fishing and hunting in [...]
