Simply Voices – The Art of Choral Singing

The art of choral music has stirred, inspired and enchanted audiences for centuries. “Simply Voices”, a newly formed octet of singers and musicians will share their passion for music, unity and joy with the audience, preparing a veritable banquet of musical selections sure to evoke memories, toe tapping, laughter and unbridled joy.

“Simply Voices” will perform at a fund raiser for the Bear Valley Hospital Foundation at the Performing Arts Center on Friday and Saturday evenings, Feb 12 and 13, at 7:30. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased through the PAC Box Office (909-866-4970), or on-line at www.citybigbearlake.com.

The voices of Brian Adams, Helen Adams, Kim Boda, Steve Cassling, Beth Gardner, Donna McClintock, Jason Rice, Ty Warren and pianist Barbara King, will debut their music on an adventure through timeless, moving and fun selections including jazz and Americana standards, pop and classical music, surprises from the entertainment world and a special section of romantic songs in honor of Valentine’s Day. Vocal arrangements are reminiscent of those performed by the King Singers, Manhattan Transfer, The Beatles and more, reinterpreted and ‘retold’ by Simply Voices. Many of their numbers will be performed a capella. Come watch this lovely group in their formal attire for a magical evening of music.
